Newsletter January 2024 ✨

Happy New year from the ScaleChanger team !

The ScaleChanger team would like to wish you all the best for the New Year. We hope that opportunities and achievements for the impact sector will flourish throughout 2024.
Working alongside game changers to increase their impact is what drives us at ScaleChanger. 2023 marks another year of commitment in our quest for a more responsible and sustainable world. With great enthusiasm, we present our 2023 activity report 👇. It offers a retrospective of our achievements in France and abroad, and a glimpse of what to expect for 2024.

2023 overview

The UN’s recognition of the Social & Solidarity Economy (SSE) as a means of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals gave more importance and visibility to game changers. It reminded us of how essential cooperation is for building a fairer and more sustainable socio-economic model.

Over the last twelve months, we’ve been lucky enough to support 374 organisations in France and abroad. They worked on a wide range of issues: empowerment and women’s rights, environment and circular economy, food, solidarity, etc.

We reached out to organisations in 29 countries, increasing our international activities.

In 2023, we continued collaborations and started new ones with various players in the impact ecosystem (foundations, financial institutions, etc.). Together we co-designed new projects to support organisations on their scaling challenges. We also shared views and experiences during national and international events such as the Global Social Economy Forum (GSEF), the Social Economy World Forum (SEWF), BIG, VivaTech and Emerging Valley.

We are convinced that women can play a crucial and transformative role within our societies. That is why we have been heavily involved with organisations run by women or working for their rights. We supported more than 20 organisations individually and contributed to the 2023 all-female Social & Inclusive Business Camp (SIBC) edition.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to all the organisations that have placed their trust in us in 2023, as well as the partners with whom we have worked.

To us, collaboration is the key to achieving positive change for a better future. We are proud to be part of networks such as Euclid Network, Catalyst 2030, Mouvement Impact France and, soon, the GSEF. These networks promote the Social & Solidarity Economy and the sharing of sustainable practices around the world.

We look forward to continuing this adventure with you all throughout 2024.

Our 2024 commitments

The year 2024 will be very special to us as ScaleChanger will be celebrating 10 years of existence. We will continue to serve positive-impact organisations and support their development. We are determined to pursue our support in the scaling of social innovations in France and abroad. At the same time, we will continue advocating for these initiatives so that they can gain greater recognition, support and funding. These innovations are essential responses to today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.

With a decade of action in more than 25 countries, we are also continuing our international activities. In 2024 we will formalise our presence in a new country.

Finally, because the world is evolving and certain issues are becoming increasingly urgent, we are strengthening our expertise. We will help organisations deal with specific issues such as financial management, the business model to scale up, preparing for fund-raising, and impact assessment.

In 2024, let’s continue together to support initiatives that are shaping a more sustainable and equitable world, and let’s do it together!
